Aiden is a Registered Nurse licensed by the Colorado Board of Nursing. She has been practicing in both wilderness and hospital settings since 2015. She earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Western Washington University and has spent the past decade exploring ways to integrate physical and mental health care in outdoor settings.
Aiden began her career as a wilderness guide on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia before moving to the Southwest to work as a field guide and medical assistant at Open Sky Wilderness Therapy. After seven years in the mental health field, she returned to school to earn her nursing degree from San Juan College.
She began her nursing career in the Emergency Department at San Juan Regional Medical Center, where she found purpose in serving rural and under-resourced populations. Aiden now resides in the San Juan Mountains, where she balances the intensity of emergency medicine by spending as much time outdoors as possible.
