The online space is a great way to gather before a wilderness course, or to do a deep dive once a week on a particular section of the LifeWays curriculum. These groups are also create an opportunity for participants from all over the country to develop a sense of community, and are often a jumping off point for deeper connections. Not to mention, LifeWays guides use this space to meet and train outdoor professionals.

Help us commemorate the closing of Open Sky and honor the healing power of wilderness by supporting LifeWays, a Durango-based program that provides mentorship and wilderness experiences for local teens and young adults. LifeWays guides and program staff were once OS guides and managers. They are now carrying on the guiding lineage in a new way!
